Peak XV Partners and Shorooq Partners Provide $10M Series A Funding to Singapore's Triple-A
Triple-A, a digital currency payment company based in Singapore, revealed on Wednesday that it has raised $10 million in its Series A fundraising round. According to a release from Triple-A, the round is being led by returning investors Peak XV Partners (previously known as Sequoia India & South East Asia), with the strategic support of Shorooq Partners, one of the top technology investors in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
The business raised $4 million in seed money a little more than a year ago, which helped to build the platform. It is noteworthy that a number of current investors, who saw Triple-A's promise early on, took part in the current Series A round, demonstrating their continued faith in the business and team.
Triple-A, established in 2017 by serial fintech entrepreneur Eric Barbier, has led the way in digital, stablecoin, and blockchain-based payments, allowing companies around the world to make payments and receive payments more quickly, continuously, and without having to worry about currency fluctuations while maintaining the strictest regulatory compliance standards.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has granted the company a payment institution license. The business is also authorized to process payments across all EU member states thanks to a license as a payment institution held by the French central bank. The business is also registered with the US Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, or FinCEN.
