Qosmosys, a Singapore-based lunar technology startup, has secured a remarkable $100 million in seed funding to advance its lunar transportation vehicle, ZeusX. Although the specific institutional investors behind this round were not disclosed, they are reportedly a mix of Western and Asian private wealth firms. This substantial funding, considered an industry-record-setting round, is set to propel Qosmosys into a significant role within the space exploration landscape. Founded in 2020, the company operates branches in France and the US, with a mission to enhance lunar access for both public and private sectors through transportation, robotics, resources, and technology.

The primary focus of this substantial investment is the development of ZeusX, a lunar transportation vehicle with the first two flight models scheduled for launch in late 2027 and 2029.

Airbus is collaborating with Qosmosys to provide technical design and engineering services for ZeusX, underlining the importance of this project in the broader context of space exploration. This funding announcement marks a pivotal moment for both Qosmosys and the space exploration sector, showcasing the significant commitment from their investors and hinting at a promising future in the industry.

Qosmosys' success mirrors a broader trend in Asia, where several space tech startups have been attracting significant capital. Notable examples include Agnikul, which raised $20 million in funding from Rocketship.vc and others in late 2022, and Bellatrix Aerospace, which secured $8 million in funding led by BASF Venture Capital GmbH and Inflexor Ventures. These developments underscore the increasing interest and investment in the space technology sector across the Asian region.
