Automera Secures $16M in Series A Funding Co-Led by ALSP and ClavystBio

Automera, a Singapore-based biotechnology company, has secured $16 million in Series A funding co-led by Accelerator Life Science Partners (ALSP) and ClavystBio. The funding round also saw participation from EDBI, Xora Innovation, and undisclosed investors.

Automera focuses on developing autophagy-targeting chimera small molecules (AUTAC) for multiple disease indications, aiming to improve health outcomes with more cost-effective therapies.

ALSP, known for accelerating biotech innovation, views Automera as an example of Singapore's scientific research potential and plans to support its growth in the region. Automera's scientific advisory group includes experts from renowned institutions.

ClavystBio, launched by Temasek, aims to catalyze health solutions from Singapore and has committed substantial investments to biotech companies. Automera will initially concentrate on cancer treatment in its product development efforts.
